So what’s the deal? You’ve been following the wrong playbook.

In this post, I’m breaking down the exact shifts I made to go from stuck at 5K to consistently hitting 20K+ months—without working more hours, raising my prices just for the sake of it, or selling my soul to the algorithm.

Why $5K Months Feel Like a Brick Wall

The $5K plateau isn’t about how hard you work—it’s about how you work.

Here’s why most people get stuck:

✅ Selling low-ticket because they think it’s easier (it’s not).

✅ Believing more followers = more money (it doesn’t).

✅ Playing small instead of running a business with strategy.

If any of this sounds familiar, it’s time for a shift.

The 4 Shifts That Took Me from $5K to $20K+ Months

1. Selling High-Ticket First, Then Scaling

Most struggling entrepreneurs start with low-ticket offers, thinking it’s the easiest way to get clients. The problem? You’re working way harder for way less.

Instead, I stopped messing with low-ticket and focused on one high-ticket offer.

  • My agency packages started at $1,500–$7,000/month.

  • My coaching academy launched at $1,997 and scaled up from there.

  • I made my content about the transformation I help people achieve, not just free tips.

💡 Action Step: If you're making less than $5K/month, revisit your offer suite. How can you hit $10K in 10 sales or less?

2. Selling with Urgency, Not Just Value

I used to believe, “Give value first and the sales will come.” Spoiler alert: They didn’t.

Instead, I started applying sales psychology and urgency the right way:

  • Talking to fewer leads but actually closing them.

  • Setting up a simple sales system (interest post → convo → CTA).

  • Writing posts with clear, convicted calls to action (not just “Drop ‘me’ in the comments”).

💡 Action Step: Look at your last five posts. Did you clearly tell people how to buy from you? If not, fix that NOW.

3. Building a Lead System (Instead of Posting & Praying)

More content doesn’t mean more sales. A viral post without a lead system is just vibes.

Here’s how I fixed this:

  • I built a system to move people from content → conversation → cash (with automation).

  • I set up a simple funnel instead of waiting for DMs to magically roll in.

4. Spending 90% of My Time on Sales-Generating Activities

I wasted HOURS on:

❌ Engaging with people who weren’t buying.

❌ Tinkering with my bio & branding.

Once I shifted to cash-only activities, my income exploded.

Here’s what I did instead:

  • Focused on sales-generating content (not just “value” posts).

  • Automated everything non-sales related (VA + software = game changer).

  • Made offers DAILY.
